SweMaint and Covid-19

Keeping infrastructure and rail freight transport up and running is fundamental to consumption, society and, by extension, our entire prosperity. Several of Sweden’s industrial companies rely on rail freight, which has great advantages over other methods of transport in terms of capacity and especially from a sustainability perspective.

According to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), SweMaint has a vital social function as a service and maintenance supplier for railway freight wagons carrying vital freight.

Especially in an exceptional situation such as the current one, we are proud that we can contribute to important goods reaching recipients on time, both nationally and internationally. With punctuality and perseverance, we continue to maintain stability in our deliveries to our clients in the transport sector.

SweMaint takes the infection risk from Covid-19 very seriously and evaluates its development on an ongoing basis. All of our workshops are open for the reasons stated above and all mobile operations are up and running as well. However, the safety of our employees and everyone who comes in contact with us is a top priority. Therefore, we continuously follow the guidelines of the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) on measures to prevent infection and act accordingly.
